Hotel Development Considered for Convention Center-Adjacent Property (Urbanize LA)

A large property located on the west side of the Harbor Freeway could be the site of the next Convention Center hotel. Through a motion introduced last week, 1st District Councilmember Gil Cedillo is looking to initiate a general plan amendment and zone change at 1330 W. Pico Boulevard and 1308-1346 S. Albany Street.  The properties, owned by Sandstone Properties, “have the potential to attract private investment to develop large hotel projects that can stimulate Convention Center growth”, according to Cedillo.
