BRIDGING COMMUNITIES

From the Downtown L.A. skyline to the Hollywood Hills, Santa Monica Mountains, and the endless coastline, The Albany will feature some of Los Angeles’s most iconic views and highlight what makes the city is a top destination for travelers from around the world.
The Albany will act as a beacon that dramatically expands the viewshed to the Los Angeles Convention Center. The project’s design as a slim 37-story tower with 730 guest rooms and 63,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space is a world-class architecture project that will attract visitors from the local community and beyond.

New Energy and Investments to the Pico-Union Community

The Albany will reconnect the Pico-Union community and Downtown Los Angeles by bridging the historic divide and delivering much needed investment to the Pico Boulevard corridor. The project will provide new and attractive amenities available to the community, infrastructure improvements to make the streets cleaner, and public spaces to improve livability.

Expanding Access to the Los Angeles Convention Center

The addition of The Albany to the Pico-Union community will support the development and the tremendous investment the City of Los Angeles is making into the renovation and expansion of the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Albany will provide 730 guest rooms and more than 63,000 square feet of convention and meeting room space within walking distance of the Los Angeles Convention Center, creating a more competitive environment to attract conventions and conferences to Los Angeles.

The 1330 W. Pico building opened its doors to the community to share the images and information on the new hotel coming to the Pico-Union neighborhood. This was the first time the architectural illustrations were shown to the public. Sandstone partnered with Vida Sana, a local wellness group, to plan the free community event filled with family-friendly activities, a farmers market, raffles and more!
